The world is a beautiful, scary place that provides us with the opportunity to live our best lives as well as make the world a better place for the generations to come. The world before COVID-19 hit was somewhat like a well-oiled machine, if you wanted to travel to Dubai, you simply booked a ticket from your smart phone and off you went. Due to COVID-19 each and every one of us is living in a world of uncertainty where we don’t know if we can travel or if we will be able to leave our houses in a week’s time.
COVID-19 has taught us several lessons and it is important that we embrace the lessons and start to create our new normal. The world before COVID-19 seems like such a long time ago but the most important thing is to remember the time before COVID-19 and cherish those memories not to long for life to be the same but rather to embrace what the future holds.
This is how I create my new normal:
Throughout the pandemic I asked myself:
What is important to me and how can I live life for me and not for others?
What can I take away from this pandemic?
How can I make a positive difference?
This process enabled me to re-discover passions that I had neglected, work on projects that I never thought I would have time for and so much more. From such a fast-paced world to a sudden halt I was given the gift of a breath.
By breath I mean I was able to take a breath for myself, for as long as I wanted without the feeling that I would miss something important. Through my realizations I was able to create my new normal which include physical activity, meditation, reflection and learning something new every single day.
I would like to hear from all of you! What did COVID-19 teach you? And have you established your new normal?
